The historic luxury porcelain brand, Bernardaud, is celebrating the grand opening of their first showroom in Texas, located at the Decorative Center in Houston on Wednesday November 7, 2012.
Bernardaud consulted interior designer Janet Gust of Janet Gust Interiors to create a beautiful table display to show off their fine tableware in a contemporary and stylish setting for the event.
Janet says that her goal was to show off their different collections in a way that could be used for every day and a way that could be used for a dinner party. Janet called on twin sister, Regina (Regina Gust Designs), to collaborate on the design and contribute her floral expertise to finish the look.
Regina and designer, Walter, used containers from various Bernardaud collections to add softness to the overall design. One of the most stunning pieces on the table is the limited edition white Panarea vase by Olivier Gagnere.
The final look pulls in pieces from several different Bernardaud collections including the Chagall and Ecume lines and juxtaposes them with silver and candlesticks from Cristofle and linens by Jaleh at Lerant. The mixture of patterns and materials that Janet and Regina used combine to create a playful but sophisticated tablescape that perfectly reflects the boldness of contemporary design and event trends.
