For a recent intimate family wedding, we went with a French country feel. The affair began with cake in the upstairs room. To get the French country feel we added flowers dominated by greens and whites in the bride’s containers along with some julep cups and glass vases that we provided. We used one of their statues in the center, arranging the flowers and greenery to capture the look of a garden fountain at a French picnic.
The wedding party transitioned to the wine cellar for the reception and a 7-course dinner. A wood paneled wine cellar was our backdrop for bringing in whites, pale pinks and greens staggered in silver containers that were provided by the bride’s mother. Our vision was to create a warm and inviting space for a long family dinner befitting the French and European traditions.
We added topiary trees to soften the room with lots of votive candles.
To give a little texture to the tables we used burlap linens covers and gray striped table toppers and staggered the flower arrangements in a variety of silver containers. The result was an incredible combination of richness and warmth.
Using color and texture we created an easy elegance that perfectly complemented the bride’s style. Memories were made!
